About Al-Abbassieh

Al AbbasiehMunicipality is a Lebanese local authority, in the West Bekaa District. Established by a decree issued by the Council of Ministers on July 12, 1979, the union includes 19 municipalities in the southwestern side of the Bekaa Valley, namely (Jib Jenin, Qaraoun, Lala, Baaloul, Kefraya, Khirbet Qanafar, Ain Zibda, Saghbin, Tal Znoub, Bab Marea, Aitnit These villages overlook the only artificial lake in Lebanon, and the Litani River runs through it from north to south, and is supplied by a group of springs (16 tributaries), the most important of which is the Ghazil Spring, Nabaa Al-Khraizat, Deep Spring, and Al-Baradouni.
